Protecting the Value of Our Community

PROTECTING WHAT WE'VE ALL INVESTED IN

Most of us made a significant investment when we chose to buy a home in Medley. I believe the HOA Board has a responsibility to help protect the value and appearance of the community we have all invested in.

That means taking care of our common areas, maintaining our amenities, addressing maintenance issues, and making thoughtful decisions about projects and improvements.

MAINTAINING OUR COMMUNITY

A well-maintained community doesn't happen by accident.

Landscaping, roads, amenities, buildings, common areas, and other community assets all require ongoing maintenance and planning. I believe the Board should pay attention to both the things residents see every day and the less visible items that can become expensive problems if they aren't addressed.

LOOKING BEYOND TODAY

Protecting our community isn't just about making things look good today.

The Board should also consider how today's decisions affect the community several years from now. Projects and improvements should be evaluated based on their cost, usefulness, expected life, maintenance requirements, and long-term impact on our community.

I believe good planning can help us avoid unnecessary expenses and keep our community in good condition for the future.

BALANCING APPEARANCE, AMENITIES AND COST

We all want Medley to remain a beautiful community with amenities that we can enjoy.

At the same time, every improvement and expense comes with a cost. I believe the Board should look at the benefits of a project along with the financial and maintenance obligations that come with it.

Being responsible with our money and maintaining our community don't have to be competing goals. With good planning, we can work toward both.

MY APPROACH

I believe protecting the value of our community requires looking at the big picture.

We should take care of what we have, plan for what we'll need in the future, and make decisions that consider both the quality of our community and the financial impact on homeowners.

My goal would be to help maintain the community we've all invested in while making thoughtful decisions about its future.
